1.) Turn in your R/W Journals #5-11 to turnitin.com. I will be grading them on turnitin.com so look for your grade there.
**Remember to include a word count for your responses in your R/W. 2.) Submit your research proposal to turnitin.com. I will grade them there. 3.) Keep up with your MyWritingLab. Some of your are behind, and a couple haven't even started the PathBuilder. 1.) Get into MWL if you haven't already. There are several students who haven't even accessed the program. 1.) Your homework is to read chapters 1 and 2 in Keizer and do the R/W Journal for chapters 1-2. You should bring these to class every day completed and on time. See these resources for incorporating quotes: powerpoint on incorporating sources and They Say/I Say Templates
2.) MyWritingLab Path Builder must be completed by the end of the week. 3.) Submit your in-class essay to turnitin.com by midnight tonight. I will print them out this time since our printer wasn't working. 4.) If you're presenting soon, you should connect with your group members and make a plan about how you will present the material to class. The presentation schedule is at the bottom of this post and in the "Jigsaw Presentations" page. Remember, I need a hard copy of your handout, and you need to post your handout as a comment to the "Jigsaw Presentations" page. 5.) Print out and review the proposal and Research Paper Guidelines and Topics document and consider what might interest you for your paper. This essay should clearly present and argue for or against (or some variation therein) the person’s claim. Mark a “Part A” where you summarize the person’s claim. Mark a “Part B.” This is where you introduction will start. Your paper will be judged, in particular, on the quality of your organization, the logical development of your ideas, your clarity, and your grammatical accuracy. Make sure, whenever possible, that you support your general statements with concrete examples and illustrations that are clearly relevant to the point you are making. You will write this essay on the computer and print when you are done.

2.) Log in to MyWritingLab (csub.mylabsplus.com) and finish the Path Builder by the end of this week. If you have any questions about navigating through the program, go to their office in Classroom Building 100, visit their website (www.csub.edu/mwl), or call at 654-2823. *Remember, if you can master topics through the Path Builder, you don't have to do them later. Look for the green check mark after you finish. They will show which topics were mastered and which weren't Welcome to English 110. You will find the syllabus on the home page. Print it out for class and make sure to get your books by next class session.
